Keiona Gorham, Founder & CEO
Keiona Gorham's expertise in psychology, nonprofit management, and her personal experiences as a Black woman navigating professional spaces bring invaluable insight to this work. Her leadership ensures that the BFA Institute's approach is not just theoretically sound but also grounded in real-world understanding of the challenges and opportunities in creating antiracist, equitable organizations.
By partnering with the BFA Institute, your organization is committing to a transformative journey. We are not just aiming for incremental improvements but for a fundamental reimagining of your organizational culture and practices. This process will challenge you to confront uncomfortable truths, unlearn harmful patterns, and actively cultivate an environment that is not only trauma-informed and culturally inclusive but explicitly antiracist and liberatory. Through this work, we aim to contribute to the broader societal movement towards justice and equity, starting within our professional community.
Beauty for Ashes was developed out of my personal experience in changing my own path from familial addiction, poverty, depression, low self-esteem, and abuse. Although it is cliche, my life’s circumstances were so bad that if I can make these changes for the better and continue to grow into a woman who redirects her own destiny, SO CAN YOU!
